The light appears in the center of the space, in the center of the street, it reveals little by little a block of which it is a prisoner. This living monolith will either be a wall, a building or a whole town… The characters then slide out of the darkness. In the same ways as we write, they travel around this block and by exposing themselves in front of these abstract colours, they create a chain of urban silhouettes whose stories will build a little more every time they pass bye. In this escape or quest, the bodies of this choreographic road movie go through all the States. Under surveillance or under control they search for a bodily and collective identity, weaving in and out of the stereotypes and the mediatised modern myths. Little by little, the imaginary calm of this manga town is disturbed by an abstract and sly violence, by a futuristic war which will not reveal its name. Our soldiers, whose only weapons are irony, absurd, poetry and grace, little by little loose their human identity. One by one robotised, possessed, electrocuted … as if to escape even further, they redefine the boundaries of their own bodies. These zig-zagging beings, half monsters, half machines, who relentlessly and forever appear and disappear, turn and divert our flash images and reflexes into mockery. At the peak of the strikes and splits of light, the bodies of these fantom creatures throw themselves into a post-nuclear heaven. Still hot and sweaty, they will fall and end up embedded in the asphalt of this frozen and Pop-Artic road.
